đź““ Learning Journal
What is a Learning Journal?
At the Warren, each child has a learning journal, which serves as a comprehensive record of your child's development. During pre-start sessions, we encourage parents/carers to fill in 'all about me' sheets, recognizing parents/carers as a child's first educators. This collaborative approach ensures that we gather relevant information vital to your child's progress.
How is it Used?
The learning journal is used to document observations of significant moments in your child's learning journey. These observations include written notes, pictures, and your child's creations from their time at nursery. Additionally, we use the journal to identify 'next steps' for your child, tailoring activities to their individual needs and fostering progress across all areas of development.
Responsibility and Involvement
Your child's key person is responsible for maintaining their learning journal. They plan activities based on your child's interests, parent input, observations, and knowledge of your child. We encourage parents to actively share their child's achievements and events, allowing us to enrich their learning journal with meaningful contributions.
