About Us

Warren Playgroup is a committee-run nursery based in West Sussex, opposite St. Peter’s Church, Church Lane, HENFIELD. BN5 9NY. Caring for children aged 2 to 4 years.

Position Details

• We are looking ideally for someone holding an NVQ Level 2 or 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Willing to do training.
• Hours:
  • Mondays: 8.30am – 3pm
  • Tuesdays: 8.45am – 1.15pm
  • Starting: 3rd March 2025
  • Plus: 0.25 hours per keyworker child per week.

We are also looking for a relief member of staff.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary: Depending on qualification – between £11.44 - £11.85 per hour.
• 4 weeks holiday pay per year, based on working hours per week.
• Pension scheme available.
• Child Protection and First Aid training will be arranged if not already held.

Working Schedule

• We are open term time 38 weeks per year, Monday – Friday:
  • Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday & Thursday: 9am – 1/3pm
  • Friday: 9am – 1pm
  • Plus: set up and pack away time.

Responsibilities

You should be able to:

• Be a good communicator with staff and parents.
• Work well within the team in providing the best care and education that we can.
• Meet the individual needs of the children attending the setting.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures followed by the nursery and allow the children to take 'safe risks.'
• To work as a key person.
